Intuition & Logic provides planning, restoration and design services throughout the coastal US. The Principal River Engineer has worked in coastal protection and restoration since his graduate work on the near-surface properties of esturarine soils of the Southeastern US. Many of these projects combine flood protection with protection of habitat for endangered species. Projects such as restoration of Lower Mission Creek in Santa Barbara required a doubling of flood capacity for this densely developed historic city, the protection of old-growth Westren Sycamores and the creation of habitat for the Tidewater Gobi and the Southern Steelhead. In the Gulf Coast regions, projects focus on post-hurricane recovery such as Plant Daniel Cooling Water Canal and siting of critical infastructure such as emergency electrical sub-stations.
